Allergens

At Cake Stories we produce all the food items which are used in our parties in the Cake Stories kitchen. We do not buy in the cupcakes or the butter cream so we can be confident about the flavour and what the ingredients are.

Our cupcakes are made from Self Raising Flour, Caster Sugar, Butter and Margarine, eggs and Vanilla Extract. The Vanilla extract contains : water, ethanol and vanilla extract – this is bought in ready made.

Our Buttercream is made from Butter, Icing Sugar and Vanilla extract – we use catering colours to colour the Buttercream – the colours we use are made by Sugar Flair contains Glycerol, Propylene, Glycol, E551, Food Colour: E129, E124.

Although we strictly follow food hygiene rules when making our batches of cupcakes or Buttercream other foods are prepared in our kitchen, we use it as you would normally use yours. We cook a full range of food there, which from time to time could contain eggs, fish, milk, celery, cereals containing gluten, mussels, peanut, sesame, soybeans, also additives which may also contain the above items.

For this reason we make no claims about our non prepacked items – there is a slim possibility that traces of other products mentioned about could be present.

We recommend that allergies or intolerances are discussed with the party guests/parents before the party and if necessary we can make arrangements to either buy in products which have been produced in an allergen free environment or suggest other solutions – we have produced a dairy free version of our Buttercream before or egg free cakes.

Our hosts are made aware of any Allergy/Intolerance issues before each party and we ensure that equipment and food products and clearly labelled. In this way we can make all the guests feel fully included.
