As the temperature here is now a bit more like Spring is supposed to be, its time to turn to the garden for some inspiration. The bulbs have been so late, that it occurred they might never come – well I was wrong and the colour has returned to the garden. I love the dreamy quality of the garden in the morning with fresh and cool sunlight which picks out morning dew and the fresh colours of spring.
So here is a garden dream formed into a cake – take a walk into the secret world of a sort of neat and tidy garden with some interesting chracters I will describe below….
In my garden there are the characters you will be familiar with from your own garden – however large or small it is – those magical visitors, some of whom you know, some you whom; the only clue to their visit is the feeling they leave behind……
I think these two birds fall into the seen visitors category…. you have to love birds in the garden particularly when it’s time for chicks hatching out!!!
The Sunflower here has got to mark a secret visit from our resident unseen fairy….what else could have made such an inspiring flower….??
There are other visitors to the garden who are dressed as if they have just made it home from an allnight party…introducing our very well dressed bugs….hats off to Mrs Ladybird and Mr Bee – you too are the fashionistas of the garden and usually so chilled out….
If you want to have a closer look at the garden you will find some birds eye views on my Fb page….thanks for your visit to the Cake Stories Garden!!!!!!

omg – that’s adorable! Reminds of the lane in Willy Wonka’s factory. Apparently cupcakes are the next big thing in Japan (bit late, I know) so I look forward to your shop here!!!

Your cakes look so wonderful! They remind me of the ones that used to be sold in small bakeries that used real buttercream frosting and the decorations were big and there were lots! Can’t find those now – but maybe yours are like that! Yum!!

Thanks very much – well I prefer to use buttercream because it tastes so much better than lots of fondant…so with a Cake Stories cake you get the taste and the look!!!!
